Civic Transparency Dashboard
Public tracker for Bangladesh's national budget across 142 ministries. Built to give citizens, journalists, and researchers searchable, conversational access to public finance data.
The Context
National budget data in Bangladesh is traditionally locked inside thousands of pages of unsearchable, dry government PDFs, obscuring public fund distribution.
This friction creates a significant gap between public policy declarations and a citizen's ability to verify actual expenditures.
What I built
- Automated scrapers. Created a Python scraping system to ingest, parse, and structure tabular PDF data from ministries into clean relational databases.
- Bilingual RAG assistant. Deployed a Next.js interface featuring a queryable LLM assistant that translates plain-language Bangla and English questions into exact cited budget columns.
- Public audit tools. Enabled quick search tables mapping historical budget trends to support transparent civic reporting.
By the numbers.
If we worked together.
I bring high-leverage product engineering and absolute operational discipline: shipping weekly, pressure-testing user inputs, and automating delivery pipelines.
