Haiba Bistro POS
Custom-tailored owner-operator POS, reservation book, and real-time floor staff review loop running locally at Haiba Bistro in Dhaka. Built to bypass bloated corporate subscriptions.
The Context
Off-the-shelf restaurant POS software is either priced with heavy monthly SaaS subscriptions or lacks customizable operational hooks (like instant review loops or staff alerts).
We needed a mobile, high-speed, local-first POS that the bistro floor staff could adopt in under an hour without specialized training.
What I built
- Mobile-first POS. Developed a React Native tablet interface customized for rapid order routing, kitchen printing, and billing flows.
- Supabase database. Configured a real-time Postgres backend handling table states, checkout sync, and inventory tracking with zero latency.
- Feedback loop. Integrated a review capture mechanism at billing, routing instant staff alerts to solve friction points before the guest leaves the floor.
