Own the whole engagement.

Applying£165,000 – £230,000UK Skilled WorkerIn office ~25%Travel 25–50%View job post ↗

The posting is explicit about the split. Each engagement runs from signed SOW to production, the Forward Deployed Engineers build the solution, and the Technical Deployment Lead owns the plan, the scoping, the stakeholders and the organisational complexity around them. Fauzul has run that loop for nine years at across 10 cities. Three of the five verticals the posting names are already in the record, including the pharmaceutical one, and two more it does not.

The signature

Five industries, one motion.

The posting asks for a specialized vertical. Pharmaceutical is a turnkey ERP he led hands-on and the client still runs. Life sciences is a HIPAA clinical platform and a paediatric nephrology record system at Bangladesh's largest public medical university. Agriculture is a 25-year-old jute export house that now publishes its own catalogue through Claude. Two more sit outside their list: a connected-car testing framework for Hyundai, and a consumer media app carried through App Store and Play review in two markets. The delivery motion underneath all five is the same one.

Every duty, answered.

Own the technical delivery plan, from signed SOW to a sequenced roadmap with milestones and success criteria

Nine years of turning a signed scope into a plan an engineer can work from. 's engagements ran from first call through quote, milestones and delivery, and he wrote the plan on both sides of the signature.

Lead delivery discovery, pressure-test the scoped MVP, and shape the architecture with the FDEs

Discovery opened every engagement. At that meant mapping how 64 doctors across 7 centres actually recorded a consultation before deciding what the platform should do. That is why the data migration held HIPAA instead of breaking it.

Run day-to-day engineering execution across Anthropic and customer teams, and protect the critical path

At Skytracks he engineered alongside the client's own CTO, which is the two-team version of this. ran remote-first from 2020 across 10 cities, where the critical path is the only thing that keeps two timezones honest.

Own product scoping during delivery: requirements, backlog priority, and the bar for what good looks like

He owned 's design and UX function from the founding years alongside the engineering line, so the bar for what good looks like was his to set. 60+ applications and websites shipped against it.

Own the customer relationship: executive briefings, stakeholder communication, procurement and technical leads

Six years as 's technical partner in Zurich, through to the acquisition. At the demo he ran is what moved the client to commit. CIO from Sept 2024, which is the seat where the funding conversation happens.

Own value measurement and ROI: baselines, KPIs, and pre- and post-deployment measurement

The number he can name is 4x faster time to market, a 75% cycle-time reduction from replacing manual deploys with CI/CD across the client portfolio. Agreeing baselines and KPIs with a sponsor before the work starts is the ramp, and it is named in the ninety days below.

Contribute reusable delivery patterns and feed field signal to Programs Leads, Product and Research

This is already how he works. A pattern explained twice becomes an agent skill. A task repeated every session becomes a hook. At it went further: and exist because auth and billing problems kept recurring across engagements.

Navigate enterprise and regulatory complexity: security reviews, legal approvals, procurement and compliance

He ran the compliance conversations most engineers hand off. App Store and Play submission review for the US and European markets at , including how user data is used, retained and scoped. Payments, refunds, GDPR and VAT at . A HIPAA patient-data migration at . Five client organisations came out able to make these calls themselves.

Manage scope and change: evolving requirements, contract modifications, risk and escalation

is the worked example. A two-page handover from another agency, a live funnel, four platforms to migrate and an owner who needed to end up holding his own accounts. The scope moved, and the escalation path was him.

Run engagement-level delivery operations: sprint ceremonies, milestone reviews and engagement reporting

Certified Scrum Product Owner, with the cadence to go with it. He moved to remote-first in 2020 and rebuilt the operating rhythm around it, for a 50% productivity boost and a 100% satisfaction boost.

Travel to customer sites, 25 to 50%

Ten cities in seven countries already. London is the base he is moving to, and the 25% in-office cadence is settled.

What the posting asks.

Strong

Led AI or ML engagements and deployments, as a founder, data scientist, engineer, researcher, or in professional services or consulting.

Two of those routes rather than one. He co-founded in 2017 and ran client delivery out of it for nine years, which is the consulting route. The AI work is his own hands: a Claude-powered CMS live in production at , and the demo at that moved a Swiss client to bet on AI before the platform launched in Jan 2025.

Strong

Operate like the CEO of your engagement. Take initiative without a mandate and decide on incomplete information.

arrived mid-flight from a London agency on a two-page handover and no mandate beyond finishing it. He moved four platforms and 2,605 active warm leads onto accounts the client owned. Before that he signed 's scopes, which is this same job with his own money behind the decision.

Strong

Experience in a specialized vertical, for instance life sciences, pharmaceutical, retail, mining or agriculture.

Three of the five named, and two more besides. Pharmaceutical is , a turnkey pharma ERP he led hands-on and the client still runs. Life sciences is 's HIPAA clinical platform and 's paediatric nephrology records. Agriculture is a 25-year-old jute export house. Outside their list, is connected-car testing for Hyundai and is consumer media through two app stores. Retail and mining are the two he cannot claim.

Strong

Navigate architecture discussions, evaluate technical trade-offs and pressure-test decisions without writing production code.

Reviewing other people's architecture has been his job since he took 6+ direct reports as Principal Staff Software Engineer in Dec 2020. 's own platform came out of that habit: 's Auth0 multi-tenant RBAC exists because five client teams kept needing the same identity and billing spine.

One engagement solved becomes the template the next one starts from
Strong

A track record on complex, high-stakes technical projects for enterprise clients, across multiple workstreams in regulated industries.

ran Nov 2023 to Mar 2026 across 7 centres, 64 doctors, 6,000 patients and 13,340 schedules, with a patient-data migration planned so HIPAA held through the move rather than being restored after it. carried Stripe checkout, GDPR and VAT for 15,000+ seats through to an acquisition.

Strong

Executive presence, credible representing Anthropic to senior leaders in high-stakes environments.

CIO from Sept 2024 to Jul 2026, in the room when clients decided what to fund. At the demo he ran is what turned a Swiss client from curious into committed. Nine years of scoping conversations, from the first call through the quote and into delivery.

Strong

Thrive in ambiguity and bring structure where none exists.

was two people in 2017 with no process to inherit. 's engineering team was an empty org chart before he hired one backend and two full-stack engineers, shipped Vipps mobile payments and the core financing system, and handed the team over once the product found its market.

Strong

A builder's mindset. You are here to create a function, not join one.

The posting says the playbooks, the delivery patterns and the repeatable IP do not exist yet. That is the part he keeps choosing: from two founders to 22 engineers, from zero to production and handed over, and started alone in 2026 and carried to 1,937 passing tests.

Near-meet

Delivered AI, ML or LLM-based agentic solutions into production, with a feel for what breaks in real environments.

One customer deployment running in production: the natural-language CMS at , where plain English becomes a Claude-authored pull request and CI/CD ships it. Six markets live, and the client publishes without a developer.

The depth sits in his own builds. runs an eleven-category evaluation engine behind 1,937 tests, with a vendor-agnostic model layer that falls back rather than fails. What the first year here adds is that pattern run against enterprise systems he did not design.

One engagement, start to finish

6+ yrs to acquisition

The builds behind the claims.

Claude in production

Global Jute Trading

A 25-year-old trading house wanted to publish without a developer in the loop. Someone there now describes the change in plain English, Claude opens the pull request, and CI/CD ships it. Six markets live, and the catalogue belongs to them again.

Nov 2023 to Mar 2026

EKAGRA Health

A HIPAA clinical platform for wound care, diabetes and nephrology. 64 doctors, 6,000 patients, 13,340 schedules, 7 centres. The patient-data migration was planned so compliance held through the move rather than being restored on the other side.

Scattered engagements, one practice
Pharmaceutical

Pharmacon

A turnkey pharma ERP: client visits, international offers and quotations, status-tracked negotiation, local buying, ledger and dues. He led it hands-on and full-stack. The client still runs it, with the last support call in 2024.

When it goes sideways

Olympic Combat

Taken over mid-flight from a London agency on a two-page handover. Four platforms migrated and 2,605 active warm leads moved onto accounts the client owned, without making the client the message bus between them.

Six things worth the interview.

01

Three of the five verticals they name

The posting asks for a specialized vertical and lists five. is a pharmaceutical ERP the client still runs. and are clinical. is the agricultural commodity trade. Two more sit outside the list, connected-car testing for Hyundai and a consumer media app through two app stores. One delivery motion across industries that share nothing else.

02

Claude is already in a customer's production stack

describes a change in plain English, Claude opens the pull request, CI/CD ships it. A 25-year-old trading house updates its own catalogue across six live markets without waiting on a developer.

03

Regulated delivery is the default here, not the exception

HIPAA at including the patient-data migration, GDPR and VAT at , App Store and Play review for two markets at , audit logging at . The security and legal gate is a stage he has run, not one he has waited on.

04

One engagement, six years, through an acquisition

He built 's first web product and admin panel from a blank canvas in Zurich and stayed through Stripe checkout, 15,000+ seats and the Loopcloud acquisition in 2026. is still the technical team.

05

He has taken an engagement over mid-flight

came from a London agency on a two-page handover, live, with four platforms to migrate. 2,605 active warm leads landed on accounts the client owned. Most delivery records are clean starts, and this one was not.

06

The playbook not existing is the appeal

from two founders to 22 engineers. from an empty org chart to shipping Vipps payments in production, then handed over. started alone in 2026 and carried to 1,937 passing tests. Each one started with no template.

The first ninety days.

Day 1 – 30

Take an engagement, not a briefing

Shadow one live engagement for a fortnight, then own the next. The delivery plan you inherit teaches you where the motion breaks faster than any onboarding document.

Day 30 – 60

A delivery plan that survives contact

The SOW-to-roadmap artifact: milestones, dependencies, success criteria and value hypotheses in one document an FDE can execute against and a sponsor can read without translation.

Day 60 – 90

Baselines first, then ROI

The honest ramp. He has shipped time-to-market gains and can name the number. Agreeing a baseline and a KPI set with the sponsor before the build starts, then reporting against them after deployment, is the practice to stand up here.

Push on these.

The posting says you will not write production code. You write it every day.

That is the real adjustment and it is worth naming. The pull toward opening the editor is strong when an FDE is blocked and he can see the fix. What makes it survivable is that he has spent 5 years 8 months managing engineers, where the same restraint is the job. He keeps writing code on his own builds so the technical judgement stays sharp, which is what this seat actually needs from it.

Your one production Claude deployment is a 25-year trading house, not a Fortune 500.

Correct, and the scale gap is real. What transfers is the shape: a legacy business, a team that does not code, a publishing process that used to require a developer, and a workflow that had to keep working the day after handover. The enterprise version adds procurement, a security review and more stakeholders. Those he has run, just not on the same engagement as the agent.

You left an operating CIO role in Aug 2026. Why an engagement seat rather than another executive one?

Because the engagement is where the work he likes actually happens. The CIO seat was increasingly about the firm rather than the customer. This role puts him back at the table where a delivery plan meets a real constraint, with the executive conversation still in scope rather than removed from it.

Nine years of regulated delivery, but no SOC 2, no FedRAMP, no BAAs.

True, and worth being precise about. His compliance record is HIPAA, GDPR, VAT, app store review, RBAC and audit logging, carried as delivery work rather than handed to counsel. SOC 2 audits, FedRAMP packages and BAAs are not in it. On an enterprise engagement those sit alongside a customer's own security and legal team, and running that gate is learnable in a way the underlying instinct is not.

What he does when nobody is paying him to.

Explaining a thing he has not mastered

A 994-day Duolingo streak at A2, with grammar explainers published on YouTube and Instagram while still learning French. It is the same muscle as making an architecture legible to a sponsor who does not code.

Wiregent, shipped alone

An allocator with hundreds of applicants can properly check almost none of them. takes custody of a build, runs it in a sandbox the investor never sees into, grades it against 11 categories, and names every category it could not score. 1,937 tests passing, and 41 planted sentinels probed with 0 leaked.

Hackathons, finished ones

, an agentic news-to-audio briefing network, built for Milan AI Week. , six country agents evaluating visa eligibility in parallel, for the Google and Kaggle intensive. reached a 47% intro reply rate against a 2.4% average.

Coaching people out of his own team

Two alumni lead teams in Norway. One moved into UX design in Germany. One took up graduate study in Canada on his recommendation. One is engineering in Sweden. Two lead at major Bangladeshi firms.

Why this city

London

London was settled before the job search was. A sister already lives there, the city itself came first through Olympic Combat in 2024, and the European record runs alongside it, from six years with a Zürich client through to its acquisition to Vipps shipped in Norway. The competition is the appeal: London is Europe's hub, where frontier AI is both built and used, and one seat meets more business domains in a year than anywhere else. The route is a company-sponsored Skilled Worker visa.

Ready when you are.

Interview him on the vertical requirement and on engagement ownership. Three of the five industries the posting names are already in his record, pharmaceutical included, plus two it does not name, and the six-year Zurich engagement ran from a blank canvas to an acquisition. The application's screening questions on commercial-layer ownership in regulated industries and on building a delivery function from scratch are both clean yeses. Push on the production-agentic row and on formal ROI measurement.
